1985- James Cagney and Michael J Fox at the launch of the centennial exhibition for the Statue of Liberty in New York. Cagney, 88 was looking frail and confined to his wheelchair. He did say that if a movie is every made about his life, he'd like Michael to play him. John Travolta has also expressed interested in the long rumored project.
February 14, 1983- James Cagney at a press conference at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute to announce the first annual With Heartfelt Thanks which will be held at Lincoln Center in New York later this year. Cagney made a rare public appearance. He was driven down from his home in upstate New York to attend.
